Heart Havens
Winchester, Virginia 22601
Dear Mr. Whittaker,
We are Mike and Bonnie DelBalzo and we live in Winchester,
next door to the Heart Havens home. Since the moment we heard
about Heart Havens moving in next door, we have been excited
about our new neighbors. Little did we know then just how
much we would enjoy our new friends at Heart Havens, John,
Steve, Danny, Charles and J.L. They are wonderful neighbors
and we are always delighted when we have the opportunity to
visit with these very special and dear individuals, as well
with their dedicated families and staff.
The Heart Havens homes is such a pleasure to live next door
to, and I wouldn’t have any other neighbors, Not only
are the people a joy, but the Men of the United Methodist
Church and the families of the Heart Havens men keep the property
looking beautiful at all times. This truly means a great deal
to a neighborhood, particularly when you live next door. Our
property values continue to increase and we are proud to live
next door to such an attractive home and property.
One of the best things we enjoy about our neighborhood is
the peace and quiet it affords. All of our neighbors, including
Heart Havens, are quiet, respectful and never disruptive.
We also know we can count on them to help us our (i.e., when
we went on vacation, they brought in the mail and fed the
fish and cat for us!) as we would do anything we could to
help them out.
We feel that Heart Havens is perfectly suited for our neighborhood.
It is an opportunity for these men to live in a “normal”
setting and have a life they deserve as much as anyone else.
They all work hard and are responsible and we are proud to
call them our neighbors. When we had the ground braking ceremony,
I stated that I hoped we would be as much of a blessing to
these men as I know they would be to us. That still holds
today… we are truly blessed to have Heart Havens next
door.
Sincerely yours,
Mike and Bonnie DelBalzo
