| The land donated by Morrison UMC is now the location of the tenth Heart Havens home. In a ceremony on April 19, prayers, readings, and a blessing of each room was followed by snacks and fellowship in the open carport. Local pastors, members of laity, United Methodist Men & Women, Heart Havens Board members, church members, family, friends and elected officials gave their time to make the day very special. Special thanks also to those who built every aspect of the home for their hard work and generosity. |

| Volunteers from South Roanoke UMC, led by Pastor Bill Davidson, extended the deck on the Lynchburg home. The volunteers camped out at the home, getting to know the residents and staff, and using their incredible building talent, created a wonderful space for cookouts and gathering in the outdoors. Check out Catherine, Phillip, Vanessa, Beth and Kim helping drive nails! The photos below are by Betsy Barker (Volunteer) and Don Sorenson (Project Director). |

In the photos below they bake red velvet, vanilla, carrot and coconut cupcakes for Easter. The following week they made chocolate eggs. Sweet ladies! |

Once again the Wrights Chapel UMC Youth visited the Taylor and MacLeigh homes. This year they were doing good works on their "Servin' USA" tour. They did yard work and ate a cookout lunch at MacLeigh with the residents from both homes. After lunch they played games with the residents, including Bingo, a water balloon toss and more. They brought all the staff and residents t-shirts. |
